About
Religious hate and persecution is unIslamic.
Religious hate and persecution is unChristian.
Religious hate and persecution is unJewish.
Religious hate and persecution is not justifiable in any religion that might want to present itself as righteous or good.
It is not a policy pursued by any government that claims to be honourable, legitimate or on the side of its citizens.
We Are // the quiet majority but we will be heard.
We Are // calling for change so that governments respect the rights of their citizens to believe what they believe, to worship freely, to live their lives in accordance with the peaceful tenets of their faith.
We Are // demanding an end to laws that are used to discriminate against and repress any of us.
We Are // demanding an end to all hatred and violence against people because of their religion.
We Are // standing with minority religious groups that suffer because of their religious identities.
We Are // not threatened by the beliefs of our compatriots.
We Are // strengthened by diverse opinions, ideas and beliefs.
So what will we do about this?
We will stand alongside our compatriots.
We will defend their freedom and dignity - their right to believe and to peacefully live out their beliefs without discrimination.
We will call out religious hatred and injustice in our security services and our government, in our courts, in our own mosques, in our own churches or in our own synagogues, in our workplaces, in our schools.
And yes, where we see it within our families we must speak out and encourage a more honourable and righteous way of thinking.
We are not alone in this purpose. If we want a more peaceful and prosperous future for our children we need to stand up now.
We Are // looking forward to a brighter and more peaceful future, together.
We Are // United.
